Armed with over a decade of speaking experience, Micah has competed in five debate styles across three separate leagues on both national and international stages.

As a sophomore, Micah and his partner won Parliamentary Debate at Nationals in 2023 and later became the only team in the league's history to win and then return to Parliamentary Debate finals at Nationals a second time. In 2024, Micah secured the national titles in Apologetics and Lincoln-Douglas Speaking. In 2025, Micah became the Lincoln-Douglas Debate National Champion. Micah set the League record for the most Lincoln-Douglas points ever earned in a single season and also holds the record for being the only competitor in Stoa history to appear in Apologetics finals at Nationals three times. During his time in the league, Micah secured 53 first-place finishes across the limited preparation, platform, interpretive, debate, and wild card events.

Cash coaches Parliamentary, Team Policy, and Extemp at every experience level, working one-on-one on everything from case construction and rebuttals to cross-examination and evidence analysis. In debate, this can include mastering impact calculus, effective time management, winning rounds in cross-examination, lethal POIs, developing your debate personality, maintaining the highest status in round, adapting to your judge, delivering with genuine persuasion, and using voting issues to actually sway a ballot.

In speech, coaching can focus on balancing statistics, quotes, verses, and stories under time pressure, how to brief EVERY limited prep, making each speech genuinely impactful, avoiding dull platforms, and making themes concrete.

Coaching can also involve direct feedback through reviews of your cases, speeches, debate briefs, apologetics cards, and Mars Hill binders, as well as practice round and speech analysis, personalized drills, and even live debate rounds against coaches!

Preparation work can include writing speeches and cases, creating a time-efficient and exhaustive brief, building a parliamentary prep plan, developing a weekly prep strategy, and practicing the most effective drills. And so much more.
